Our company
IGP markets the cereal and legume varieties a number of medium-sized plant breeding companies both in Germany and internationally.
Our international business model
Internationally we work with business partners who acquire an exclusive licence to multiply and sell a variety in a defined territory. In Poland we have a subsidiary company, IGP Polska, that represents our breeders in Poland. In the Baltic States we have an exclusive partner, SeedTrade.
Before deciding on a variety, partners may test various varieties or lines that are in official trials in Germany or Poland to assess the potential in their territory and if required, applying for the registration of the variety in the territory. The partners then establish own multiplications. The seed sold by the partner is subject to a licence fee.
We currently have partners in more than 35 countries, who are together marketing a total of 90 varieties.
